Purpose

R.A.D.A.R. is a new, innovative technique of medical education orientation. In combination with a full eye exam and a general audiometry test, the method can detect, at an early stage:
Which of the children, with reading difficulties, have dyslexia
Which of the children, starting their school life, have a higher probability of developing reading difficulties in the following years.
Assessment is easy, quick, objective, non-interventional, and reader-friendly, at any age. Without the use of special glasses, the reader simply reads the text on a computer screen, and R.A.D.A.R. automatically registers the user’s reading competency, level of concentration, but also the user’s capability of decoding and composing words.
The R.A.D.A.R. software is based on specialized algorithms that have been developed over a decade of research in Greece (University of Crete) and in the USA (Harvard University), enjoys international medical and pedagogical recognition (this research has been published in international scientific journals), while being registered in the EU and the USA with special patents.
For the first time, it is possible to digitally record numerous parameters that affect a person’s reading ability.
R.A.D.A.R. was not designed to replace specialist scientists in this field (speech therapists, special educators, child psychologists etc.)
Instead, it was designed to boost their work. The essential information it provides to the above-mentioned scientists, helps them produce more accurate diagnoses, design personalized treatment interventions, but also objectively confirm the results of their work. R.A.D.A.R. creates, at last, the much-needed bridge between the medical, educational, and therapeutic communities, with regard to dyslexia.
The R.A.D.A.R. Method- Why choose it:
- It is quick
- It only lasts 15 to 20 minutes.
- It is easy
- The reader just reads a text on the computer screen
- It is objective
- The results are not influenced by the human factor at all
- It is exact
- Accuracy rates are higher than 95%
- It is reader-friendly
- The reader does not have to wear special glasses
- It has a scientific background
- It is the product of decade-long scientific, published research
- It is unique
- It is based on rigorous mathematical models
- It is for everyone
- It is aimed at readers of any age!
The interdisciplinary team of medical specialists and scientists of the PECG performs a thorough evaluation, which includes the following:
- A full eye and optometric examination
- An ample audiometry test
- A thorough analysis and assessment of reading using the R.A.D.A.R. Method
Subsequently, the findings of all the aforementioned examinations and tests are evaluated, also taking the child’s social history into account, in order to provide – if necessary – the parents with the respective guidelines.
